The Crucifix

What does the acronym INRI (could also be written as JNRJ) at the top of the crucifix stand for?

    I don’t know the words exactly. Latin or Aramaic perhaps, that stand for
    ‘Jesus Christ, King of the Jews’.

    Or something like that.
