Who comes to
Jesus with the request for places on his right and left when Jesus comes into
his kingdom in the Gospel of Matthew?
- Peter and Andrew
- James and John
- Peter and the Beloved Disciple
- The mother of the sons of Zebedee
Matthew
makes every attempt to show the disciples as understanding Jesus. Mark on the
other hand shows them as constantly misunderstanding. Thus while in Mark it is
the brothers James and John who come to Jesus with the request for places of
honour, Matthew changes the scene to show the request being made by the mother.
