In
the Gospel text of today, Jesus makes four points. He begins by offering a
revelation. This is that the love which he has for the whole world is exactly
as the love that God has for him. This love is unconditional and eternal. He
then exhorts us to remain in that love. We do that be keeping the one
commandment which is to love God by loving others.
