Answers to - Miracles in Chapters 8 and 9 of the Gospel of Matthew


There are ten miracle stories (in series of three each with a concluding miracle to which there is a double chorus) in Chapters 8 and 9 of the Gospel of Matthew. You are required to fill in the blanks.

(1) The healing of a Leper (2) The Centurion’s servant (3) peter’s Mother-in-law (with due apologies to all Mother’s –in-law, it is said tongue-in-cheek that one of the reasons why Peter denied Jesus was because he healed his mother-in-law) followed by Sayings on discipleship
(4) Calming the storm on the lake (5) The Gerasene/Gadarene demoniacs (6) The healing of the Paralytic followed by the Call of Matthew and eating with tax collectors and sinners 
(7) Healing the daughter of a leader of the Synagogue (8) healing a woman with a flow of blood (haemorrhage)(9) healing two blind men 
(10) healing a mute man
